Manufacturers no longer automate a single action — their goal is to remove the human from the entire process. More and more attention goes to infrastructure: charging stations, diagnostics, remote monitoring.

The next generation of home robots will be sold not as hardware but as a service: the owner merely oversees the result through an app.
